A little About Me
Hello, my name is Ashley!
I have worked in childcare for over 14 years. I received my degree from Rasmussen College in 2008 for Early Childhood Develpment and in 2009 for Business with an emphasis on Early Childhood Development. I had always wanted to own my own daycare. In 2014 I was blessed with a child of my own and decided it was time to strike out on my own. I opened my home to children on August 21, 2014. I became a licensed home daycare in Anoka County on October 1, 2014. I have loved every minute of it and can't wait to see what the future holds.
Playroom
I recently remodeled my basement to be our primary indoor play space. I have the area set up to include a reading nook, dramatic play, wheels and buliding, manipulatives and music. I also have some push and ride on toys and balls for large motor play. Eventually I will do arts and crafts in this area too.
Outside
I have a big fenced in backyard with a swing set and various outside toys. The kids love being able to explore and run around. I also have a big quad stroller so that we can go for walks in the neighborhood. Across the street from my house is Riverwind Park, with a huge playground and a walking path.
Art and Other Activities
Each week during the school year there is a different theme. We do art and other activites that coordinate with those themes throughout the week.
